A general legal disclaimer

Shift Mobile Tire Services

This Legal Disclaimer applies to all services provided by Shift Mobile Tire Services, including but not limited to mobile tire services, wheel and tire installation, balancing, rotations, repairs, inspections, and mobile oil change and lubrication services.

1. Scope of Services

Shift Mobile Tire Services provides mobile automotive services at customer-requested locations. Services are performed based on information provided by the customer and visible vehicle conditions at the time of service. Shift Mobile Tire Services does not guarantee the identification of all mechanical, safety, or maintenance issues.

2. Mobile Service Limitation

By requesting mobile services, the customer acknowledges and agrees that:

  • Services are performed outside of a controlled shop environment.

  • Certain conditions, including weather, terrain, lighting, vehicle condition, or location, may limit the scope or completeness of services.

  • Shift Mobile Tire Services shall not be held liable for conditions or failures unrelated to the specific service performed.

3. Wheel and Tire Services Disclaimer

All wheel and tire services are performed according to industry standards at the time of service.

Mandatory Re-Torque Requirement:
As stated in the Wheel Torque Liability Policy, all customers must have their wheels re-torqued after 50 kilometers (km) of driving. Failure to comply releases Shift Mobile Tire Services from all liability related to wheel or tire installation after the initial 50 km.

Shift Mobile Tire Services is not responsible for:

  • Wheel loosening, stud failure, or damage resulting from failure to re-torque

  • Pre-existing damage to wheels, studs, hubs, suspension, or braking components

  • Damage caused by improper prior installation or aftermarket parts not supplied by Shift Mobile Tire Services

4. Oil Change and Lubrication Services Disclaimer

Oil change and lubrication services are performed using customer-approved oil types and quantities based on available vehicle information.

The customer acknowledges and agrees that Shift Mobile Tire Services is not responsible for:

  • Engine damage due to pre-existing mechanical conditions

  • Damage resulting from incorrect oil specifications provided by the customer

  • Oil leaks caused by worn gaskets, seals, drain plugs, oil pans, or filters not supplied by Shift Mobile Tire Services

  • Issues arising from delayed maintenance beyond manufacturer-recommended service intervals

The customer is responsible for monitoring oil levels and vehicle performance after service.

5. Pre-Existing Conditions

Shift Mobile Tire Services shall not be held liable for any damage, failures, or issues resulting from pre-existing vehicle conditions, corrosion, worn components, prior repairs, or manufacturer defects.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Shift Mobile Tire Services shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including but not limited to loss of use, loss of income, or towing costs.

In all cases, liability, if any, shall be limited to the amount paid for the specific service performed.

7. Customer Acknowledgment

By requesting and authorizing services from Shift Mobile Tire Services, the customer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to this Legal Disclaimer and the Wheel Torque Liability Policy.

Refund policy

All sales made by Shift Mobile Tire Services are final.

Returns, exchanges, or refunds will not be issued under any circumstances unless expressly approved by the business owner of Shift Mobile Tire Services. Any approved return or refund is granted at the sole discretion of the business owner and may be subject to conditions, restocking fees, or partial reimbursement.

By completing a purchase or accepting services from Shift Mobile Tire Services, the customer acknowledges and agrees to this policy and understands that no return, exchange, or refund is guaranteed.

Wheel Torque Liability Policy

Shift Mobile Tire Services

Purpose
This policy is established by Shift Mobile Tire Services to formally notify customers of their responsibilities following wheel and/or tire installation and to clearly define limitations of liability.

Customer Acknowledgment and Agreement
By accepting service from Shift Mobile Tire Services, the customer acknowledges, understands, and agrees to the following terms and conditions:

  1. Mandatory Re-Torque RequirementAll vehicles serviced by Shift Mobile Tire Services must have their wheel lug nuts re-torqued after 50 kilometers (km) of driving following wheel and/or tire installation.

  2. Customer Responsibility
    It is the sole responsibility of the customer to ensure that the vehicle is returned for re-torquing within the specified 50 km period. Failure to do so constitutes non-compliance with this policy.

  3. Limitation of Liability
    In the event the customer does not return for re-torquing after 50 km of driving, Shift Mobile Tire Services shall not be held responsible or liable for any damages, losses, mechanical failures, accidents, injuries, or claims of any kind related to wheel or tire installation.

  4. Release and Indemnification
    Failure to comply with the mandatory re-torque requirement releases and indemnifies Shift Mobile Tire Services, including its owners, employees, contractors, and affiliates, from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action arising after the initial 50 km of driving.

  5. Safety Notice
    The customer acknowledges that failure to properly re-torque wheels may result in wheel loosening, vehicle damage, personal injury, or property damage.
